IR Obstacle Sensor is a simple infrared-based detection module used to detect nearby objects. It is widely used in robotics, line-following robots, and automation projects with boards like Arduino Uno R3, Arduino Nano, and ESP32 Development Board.
The IR Obstacle Avoidance Sensor uses an infrared transmitter and receiver to detect objects in front of the sensor. When an obstacle comes within the detection range, the IR light reflects back to the receiver, triggering the output signal.
The module includes an onboard LM393 comparator and an adjustable potentiometer to control the detection distance. It provides both digital output and status LEDs for easy monitoring.
